Food and Drink

We love food and drink and are passionate about what we do.  We change our menu regularly as and when products are at their best and ready to be used - you won't find asparagus in August or Brussels sprouts in March!

All our meat is sourced from the UK.  We work closely with Chart Farm in Kent who not only supply us with their amazing venison but who also source our game and Hereford beef.  Our pork comes from Kilravock Farm (pronounced Kil-rock) in Nairnshire from the north west Highlands of Scotland.

Our fruit and veg comes from farms in Kent and New Covent Garden market and our wild leaves and mushrooms are foraged in Wales.

We receive our fish fresh every morning straight from the market.

Our wine list evolves throughout the year and we try new wines weekly.  We only list wines we love, would drink ourselves and be happy ordering a second glass (or bottle)!  We take the quality of our wine list extremely serious which is why you are more likely to see one of our wines in a michelin starred restaurant than another gastropub, albeit at a much lower price!

We have invested in a wine preservation system that allows us to have an extensive selection by the glass and carafe while ensuring fresh wine every time.  We change our 'by the glass' selection regularly to ensure it is seasonal and provides an opportunity to try something different.

We select a new wine each month to be our 'Wine of the Month' and try to ensure it is something not so well known.  Most of these wines would never find their way onto a list be the glass so hopefully it provides an opportunity to try something new without committing to a full bottle while having confidence that the wine is of superb quality.
